Riverdale Review

by Jason O.
Image result for riverdaleRiverdale is a very popular and an amazing show. Riverdale is a show about a twin named Jason who mysteriously died. This town is affected by Jason’s death. They are affected because so many kids were close or good friends with him. His good friends try to get justice for Jason.
What I like about this show is that it leaves you thinking. You get to solve the mystery with the characters in the show. You also get to take sides and “cheer” for your favorite character. My favorite character is Veronica because I think she has a lot of common sense. He is such a good friend to Archie and to Betty and to everyone else even when she has a lot of stuff going on at her house. I think that Betty’s dad killed him because there is a lot of evidence of him missing while important things happen. For example, all of Kevin’s dad’s wall of evidence mysteriously got destroyed while Betty’s dad wasn’t there. Another example is when Betty asked her dad if he killed Jason he was very quiet.
Some things that I don’t like about Riverdale is that the episodes are too long. When I want to watch a little before I have to do something it would be easier if the episodes were shorter. But that isn’t that big of a deal.
I would totally recommend this show. It is so interesting and I think that a lot of kids would enjoy this show.

What is it like to be a Long Term Substitute?

By: Jack B. This year Ms. Harris took over for a fourth-grade teacher and is a long-term sub for fourth grade.  In October, Ms. Sweet went out and Ms. Harris came in as a long-term substitute. I asked her about being a long-term sub and how she started teaching and other questions. She said, “It is weird starting in a new class because I feel weird when I start anything new.” I went on and asked her about how she started teaching and she said that both of her parents were teachers and she thought that it would be fun working with kids. She also said that she started at Village School and that she wanted to teach for the rest of her life. She also said she would like to work with kids for the rest of her life if she couldn’t teach anymore. She said that teaching is her favorite job in the world and it would be fantastic to teach for the rest of her career.

The Movie Wonder Was Made Well

By: Lexi Fisichelli Wonder is a movie about a boy who has never looked ordinary since the day he was born. His mom has homeschooled him for his entire life. When his parents tell him that he is going to start middle school at a real school, he freaks out. They had to leave some things out of the movie that were kind of important in the book. One important thing they left out was how Auggie got a hearing aid. I think that the book was good because you could really use your imagination, but they both did very well. At Village School in Marblehead MA, every fourth grader reads the book, Wonder . Then last month, the movie Wonder came out. Samantha Roman, a sixth grader at the village school, has read the book and seen the movie. “I like the movie I thought they did good with it,” said Roman. She said that she liked how the book had sections with a different character's perspective every time. She also said that personally, she likes to read the book first then ...

“Mad Mike Hughes” A Flat Earther

His plans to launch himself into space in homemade steam rocket nearly as far-fetched as what he is trying to prove. by Jack P. Mike Hughes, nicknamed “Mad Mike Hughes," is one of the US’s several resident flat-Earthers. He plans to launch himself into space using a homemade steam powered rocket that scientists only predict will be able to travel up to 500 mph and less than 2,000 feet high. Much less the 24,000 feet per second needed to reach even low orbit. A Boeing 747 flies higher than Hughes rocket. Mike Hughes with one of his test rockets Hughes believe that the Earth is flat and that all science is fake or false and it’s all a cover up by the people that “secretly control the world," h e explains in several of his youtube videos. One anonymous youtuber in the comment section of one of Hughes's videos commented “Just walk off the end of the world!” Mrs. Gianinno, a sixth-grade science teacher, expressed her concerns about Hughes, his mental health...
